We are built on a dream
New Life Child Care was founded by Dr. Abraham Shanklin Jr. and Jerika S. Lopez in 2017. What begun as a casual meeting between two
entrepreneurs has become an amazing business relationship to serve our local community. New Life Child Care is filled with passion, love and hope. Each detail that goes into the daily operations of the center is carefully selected. We offer the best experience for your child. We are a Christian center filled with lots of Enrichment opportunities for each and every child.
Our Programs
Infant Room ( 6 weeks - 18 months)-Our infant room celebrates each baby as an individual. Our highly qualified staff is the best in the industry. Our infant room does follow a curriculum and we offer lots of activities and opportunities for your baby to grow.
Toddler Room ( 18 months- 24 months)- Our toddler room is the perfect transitional room for the older babies. Routines and structural play based on our curriculum are introduced as we prepared our young scholars for and amazing pre-school experience.

Two year old program - Our two year old program continues to build on our routines and curriculum. Potty training support and plenty of love is offered to our youngest pre- school curriculum students.
Three year old program- Our three year old program focuses on building the base for a successful Pre- K experience. Our three year olds get plenty of opportunities to learn pre-school concepts and routines. Learning through play is an essential part of this program.
Pre- K Program - Our Pre- K program is the perfect program for your almost kindergartner. We will submerge your pre- schooler in opportunities that offer structural activities as well as "play" based activities. Our Pre- K program focuses on grammar, socialization, writing, and many other important skills.
Enrichment Programs
¡ Yo Hablo Español! - Yo Hablo Español is a revolutionary Spanish bilingual class that focuses on submerging the children in the Spanish language in a fun and interactive way.
KID- FIT- KID- FIT is a fitness class designed exclusively for toddler. Children will learn all about healthy habits and exercise through a series of lessons.
Music class- Our very own Ms. Brianca takes the children on a musical adventure weekly. Rock on ukulele style.
Dance Classes- The children learn how to move and groove during our fun dance class.
Cooking classes- We host cooking class every week. Cooking classes usually mirror the lesson plan for the week.
Lending library- Reading is the one most important skills your child will learn in school. The New Life Child Care library offers a weekly lending library program to our students.
Sign Language classes- During our sign language classes the children learn the basic signs.
Bible lessons- We use the Abeka curriculum to teach the children about God and how God is present in our every day lives.

We will provide families with complete peace of mind and comfort knowing New Life Child Care is the perfect place for their child to learn and grow through play, movement, and premium loving care.
Our staff is highly trained and meet, or exceed, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) licensing requirements. All staff members are certified in first aid and CPR as well as participate in ongoing professional development programs. We believe the quality of staff is the most important aspect to an exceptional child care program.
